Here's An Eggcellent Way To Kickstart The Return Of Dizzy The Eggventurer
November 25, 2012
We have some eggciting news for fans of the Dizzy series of computer games from the late 1980s. If you're a fan, then do read on. If not, well, read on nonetheless and you might end up turning into one soon enough.
Philip and Andrew Oliver aka the Oliver Twins, the creators of Dizzy, have resolved to revisit their egg-shaped brainchild 20 years after the original series concluded. And they need your help.
Unsurprisingly, to help them with their Dizzy plans, the Oliver Twins have turned to that wondrous place where classic games go to be reborn: Kickstarter.
Through Kickstarter, the Oliver Twins hope to collect at least £350,000 by Dec. 21, 2012. This amount is intended for the development of Dizzy Returns, which will be available for iOS as well as PC.

Far removed from Dizzy - Prince of the Yolkfolk, an iOS game released last year by Dizzy publisher Codemasters, Dizzy Returns promises to be the best Dizzy game over.
"Our aim is not to just reboot an old Dizzy game," said the Oliver Twins. "We want to stay true to the spirit and core ideals of the original series, whilst utilising the platforms, technology and resources we now have at our disposal."
"We believe that Dizzy Returns is a perfect fit for mobile gaming," they added, "and touch screen technology obviously means that we can experiment with and implement new mechanics and new ways of playing in Dizzy Returns."
So, expect Dizzy Returns to have new puzzles, new characters, new locations, and new graphics when it hatches within the third quarter of next year. For now, though, you can help fund Dizzy's return by backing the Oliver Twins' Kickstarter eggventure.
