Plague Inc Expands To The iPhone 5 And New iPod Touch
November 11, 2012
Since its release in May, Plague Inc has evolved into a potent real-time strategy game. As of yesterday, Plague Inc has been adapted to be fully harmonious with iPhone 5 and fifth generation iPod touch.
Optimization for the 4-inch Retina display is indeed great, although, that cover the latest update news. Nevertheless, we can spend a little time highlighting the big improvements of past versions to get everyone up-to-date.
Available in late October, v1.4 provided compatibility with iOS 6, an overall performance increase, and the genetic modifications system. Being able to change your disease's genes allows better control of characteristics.
In "mutation 1.3," the clever reference to v1.3, your disease could now utilize the host control capabilities of the Neurax Worm. This powerful expansion option creates a new level of gameplay.
For v1.2, Ndemic Creations implemented iCloud for game data backup and synchronization. No longer are you restrained to a single iDevice.
Unleashed very soon after the game's debut, mutation 1.1 added native support for iPad and contained a revised evolution options system that dimmed the appearance of upgrades costing more than your current stash of DNA points.
Plague Inc is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store for $0.99.
