A new report indicates that the iPhone 5 could launch in Taiwan in mid-December.
According to Focus Taiwan, it's "very likely" that the sixth-generation handset will appear on Taiwanese store shelves on December 14. However, as the report notes:
The Silicon Valley giant has yet to “give its consent” to related details, including the release date, carriers’ contract plans and the content of press releases, the carriers added. As such, specific details aren't known at this time. Last year, Taiwan got the iPhone 4S in December, 2011, and so the proposed timescale would indeed make sense. Elsewhere overseas, China Telecom is expected to launch in December, too. If any more news hits the Web regarding the above, we'll be sure to let you know. Source: Focus Taiwan
