XVision Makes Several Pleasing Adjustments To 'What's That Tune?'
November 10, 2012
Launched in mid-October nearly alongside What's That Bird?, What's That Tune? is the third entry of XVision's "What's That...?" trivia game series. The app initially failed to get traction, but additional content, enhanced features, and more for free may offer the chance of a rebound.
A game of fast-paced action, What's That Tune? brings together music lovers to prove who's got the biggest and best mental jukebox. Players begin with two minutes and hear a preview of a song. As soon as you recognize the track, tap the name in the multiple choice list to continue. A correct answer awards points and transfers time from opponents, whereas incorrect guesses provide you with nothing.
If you're a longtime Apple fan, just remember back to Music Quiz on the earlier generations of the iPod classic.
Originally, XVision provided free access to create and join online matches, but charged for single player mode. In What's That Tune? v2.0, the company is now allowing solo play at no cost, plus added Game Center voice chat. In exchange, the full version upgrade involves enhanced gameplay, consisting of the full 3,000 song library and the choice of genre. This applies to both single and multiplayer modes.
What's That Tune? is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download. Don't be shy about inviting your friends to help expand the number of available opponents.
