Updated: Gmail iOS App Update Includes Support For Multiple Accounts

December 4, 2012
Note: See update below Google’s Gmail client for iOS has received an important update. The latest version brings multiple account support for the first time. The free app also includes a redesigned look. As TNW first mentioned, this "redesigned look mixes the new ‘clean’ Google aesthetic from its products like Now and more with Sparrow’s mechanics." Sparrow, the popular iOS email client for Gmail, was purchased by Google in July. Full changes in Gmail 2.0 include:
  • App redesigned with a new, cleaner look
  • Search predictions as you type
  • Infinite scrolling inbox
  • Respond to Google Calendar invites inline
  • Interactive Google+ posts support
  • New welcome experience
Gmail is a free download and available now in the App Store. Sparrow ($2.99) is also available. Note: Since this first posted, we have received reports that Google has now pulled the update from the App Store. This situation appears temporary, as Gmail's official Twitter account confirms. We'll keep you updated.
