Whether you're a connoisseur of wines or not, I invite you to raise your glass in a toast to the new version of a popular wine recommendation app. Ladies and gents, say hello to the newly updated Hello Vino.
Featured in two of our culinary AppLists, namely, Apps for Foodies and Apps for Cooking and Dining In, Hello Vino is an iPhone app that readily recommends wines for whatever purpose you have in mind.
It really doesn't matter if you're a bona fide oenophile or a plain wine starter. Just let Hello Vino know what you need, and the app will help you find the perfect bottle of wine.
In fact, the app has just been updated with a few enhancements in order to help you better in that respect.
To start with, the latest version of Hello Vino includes new food and drink recommendations.

"Whether you need the perfect wine pairings for holiday meals or suggestions for a killer bottle to bring to your friends and family gatherings," says Hello Vino developer Drive Thru Interactive, "we have you covered."
Furthermore, Drive Thru Interactive has partnered with more wine retailers in order to augment the app's wine database. As a result, it's now easier for you to find the details on wines that are available in your local stores.
The updated app also features enhanced image recognition, enabling you to more easily get the goods (e.g. tasting notes, ratings, and food pairings) on a wine just by taking a picture of its label.
Also optimized for iPhone 5, the latest version of Hello Vino is available now in the App Store for free.
