Social Browser App Rockmelt Enhanced With iPhone Support And More Features
December 20, 2012
A couple of months after its launch as an iPad-only app, the "best of the Web" browser app Rockmelt has just been optimized for iPhone.
Rockmelt is now a universal app. So, you can now discover and explore the most interesting Web content on your iPhone or iPod touch as well as on your iPad or iPad mini.
Far from being a mere scaled-down version of the original iPad app, Rockmelt for iPhone features new tile and sidebar designs already optimized for iPhone 5.
In addition, the new iPhone app works in both portrait and landscape orientations, showing a single row of tiles in the former and double in the latter.

What's more, Rockmelt for iPhone includes a colorful interface for liking and emoting that's markedly different from that of its iPad counterpart.
Beyond delivering iPhone optimization, Rockmelt's universal update also includes a cleaner look, faster scrolling, and new gestures.
Now, you can swipe any open page to the left to close it. Similarly, you can swipe any kept item in your sidebar to remove it.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, the newly universalized and newly improved Rockmelt is available now in the App Store for free.
