Your Kids Will Want A Scoop Of Wombi Ice Cream

While it’s probably too cold this winter here in the United States for kids to want to eat real ice cream, a new app will let younger iOS device users take control of their own virtual ice cream truck.
Wombi Ice Cream, which will hit the App Store on Saturday, Dec. 8, takes a dose of inspiration from the popular kids app Toca Kitchen. But instead of getting to virtually prepare a number of main dishes, this app is all about ice cream. And I’m sure that will make many kids happy.
The app starts with the back of the truck. Players can choose what flavor ice cream to scoop and whether it will be in a cup, cone, or bowls. Not surprisingly, there are also a large number of toppings and other goodies to spruce up your ice cream masterpiece.
And the hard part comes when it is time to sell your creation. There are six different cuddly animal creatures, each with their own request on what they want to eat. And it’s up to you to build their perfect frozen treat.
Wombi Ice Cream will be a universal title for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. It will cost $1.99 in the App Store. Developer Wombi also said there will be a lite version so users can preview the app for free. The app is fun to play, and I’m excited to let my ice cream loving daughter get to try it out soon.
