Apple is looking for an iOS Frameworks QA Engineer who is interested in developing “the very first iPhone/iPad app that uses a new API/framework in the next version of iOS.” Sounds enticing, doesn’t it?
AppleInsider first discovered the job listing and points out that, although the listing does not specify what new APIs (application programming interface) could appear in the next version of iOS, it does confirm that Apple is working on new and expanded APIs and frameworks.
The job description states that Apple’s iOS team is looking for a software engineer with strong quality assurance skills for the software development kit (SDK) department. They are looking for someone to develop and maintain a set of iOS test apps for “new and exciting APIs that are released in the public iOS SDK.” The description specifically mentions development of the very first app to support new APIs and frameworks.
Apple had better hurry if it wants to get new APIs into iOS 7. Rumor has it that the iPhone maker will announce the next version of its mobile operating system at the upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference in June, which is when the company announced the launch of iOS 6.
