CES 2013: IK Multimedia Does Not Disappoint This Year With New Line of Products

January 11, 2013
Here at AppAdvice, we are huge fans of IK Multimedia and their awesome line of mobile accessories for musicians. From their earliest product, the iRig, to their most recent MIDI keyboard, the iRig KEYS, we’ve been drooling over everything they’ve launched. We stopped by to talk to them at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and boy did they have a lot to tell us about. The iLine, the “Swiss Army Knife” of cables, is perfect for the mobile music engineer. This handy, dandy cable kit includes six high-quality audio cables designed specifically to provide users of smartphones and tablets with the tools they need for signal routing and audio-cabling. The featured cables include a mono output adapter, input/output extension, stereo auxiliary, headphone splitter, RCA output adapter, and mono output splitter. The whole set comes wrapped in a convenient vinyl bag and will be available later this year for $49.99.

The iRig Blueboard is a Bluetooth pedal board with four different patch banks so you can set it up with up to four different Bluetooth-enabled devices using the included app. It works with any core MIDI app, including AmpliTube, SampleTank, GarageBand, and more. The Bluetooth pedal board lets you connect multiple devices, plus allows you to use pedals, like the iRig STOMP all in one set up. There is no information at this time as to release date and cost for the iRig Blueboard. Visit the company’s website for more information. The iRig HD is the “sequel” to IK Multimedia’s most popular guitar interface for the iPhone and iPad. It features a preamp for full, high-quality sound with audio-to-digital conversion at a 24-bitrate. It will be compatible with both 30-pin connectors and Lightning connectors. There is not information at this time regarding the launch date of the iRig HD, but it is estimated to retail for approximately $99. Find out more information about when it will be available at the company’s website.

The iLoud is the company’s first audio speaker. The Bluetooth-enabled speaker packs 40 watts of power, making it five times more powerful than any other on the market. It features studio-quality monitor sound. It is also compatible with the iRig so you can plug your guitar, bass, or microphone, directly in and use the iLoud as an amplifier or stage monitor. Pricing and availability is unknown at this time. You can find out more by signing up for email updates from the company’s website.
