Play As Shaquille O'Neal And Free-Throw Punches At Zombies In ShaqDown
January 9, 2013
Are you ready to engage in a total ShaqDown?
Before you answer that question, consider this other question first … Remember Shaq Fu?
No? That's OK. Frankly, a lot of people would rather not remember it too.
Shaq Fu was a fighting video game released nearly two decades ago. But even as it stars a virtual version of basketball star Shaquille O'Neal, it ended up being one of the worst video games of its time.
Fast forward to now, and we have yet another fighting game starring the former professional basketball player. It's called ShaqDown, and it's out now on iOS.

First things first: ShaqDown is a fighting game and an endless runner. Very much unlike Shaq Fu, ShaqDown has you playing as the eponymous character as he runs and fights his enemies along his side-scrolling way.
And in ShaqDown, the enemies are — wait for it – zombies.
Set in a post-apocalyptic future, ShaqDown challenges you to take down the mutant zombies who have enslaved mankind.
Spanning three stages with three boss battles, ShaqDown also dares you to earn Shaqra points. These Shaqra points may be used to unlock new game modes and upgrades.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, ShaqDown is available now in the App Store for $0.99.
By the way, on top of all its gameplay features, ShaqDown boasts high-definition graphics and animations created by "Street Fighter" artist Long Vo.
