Popular Business Publication Forbes Magazine Finally Comes To Apple's Newsstand

January 4, 2013
A couple of weeks after The Wall Street Journal finally made the move toward Newsstand, another high-profile publication is entering Apple's digital newspaper and magazine service. And it's none other than Forbes Magazine. Sure, Forbes Magazine has long been available on iOS via the third-party magazine app Zinio. And Forbes already maintains several supplementary apps in the App Store, including Forbes Photos & Videos and Forbes Lists. But it's only now that the popular business magazine itself is made natively available on iOS, albeit on iPad only, via Newsstand. According to its App Store description, the new Forbes Magazine app for iPad is …
… your doorway into the ultimate Forbes experience combining all the original magazine reporting on business, technology, and investing with the dynamic interactive content from Forbes.com. Download the app now to start profiting from – and adding your voice to – stories about the entrepreneurs and executives who are changing the world. About the innovative companies that are changing how businesses work. About strategic insights to help shape your investment strategies.
As an integrated Newsstand app, Forbes Magazine for iPad offers subscription options whose costs are directly charged to your iTunes account upon purchase. You can get a single issue for $5.99. But you can save substantially if you opt for either the $2.99 monthly subscription or the $29.99 yearly subscription. Note, though, that subscriptions within the app do not translate to any form of subscription to the print edition of Forbes Magazine. But if you're already a print subscriber, you can upgrade to a combined print edition and app subscription for only $10. Compatible with iPad and iPad mini running iOS 5.0 or later, Forbes Magazine is available now in the App Store as a free Newsstand app. The current issue of the magazine, with Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp on the cover, is available in the app for free for a limited only. Download the app and this issue now to explore the new Forbes Magazine for iPad. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
