Upcoming iOS 6.x Jailbreak evasi0n May Be Released On Feb. 3

January 31, 2013
Just moments ago, the name of the upcoming iOS 6.x untethered jailbreak, evasi0n, was revealed by the evad3rs hacking team. Now, it appears that the possible release date for the jailbreak has also been unveiled. Well, sort of. The evad3rs launched a new website for evasi0n as it revealed the name. On the website, the evad3rs team provides some details about the jailbreak. Most notably, the website notes that the jailbreak is compatible with all iDevices running iOS 6.0 through 6.1, which was released just three days ago. It also includes the requirements for the jailbreak to work. What's not explicitly noted, though, is the release date for evasi0n. Well, apparently, that bit of information is also included, if only hinted at, on the website. As pointed out on Twitter by @Pix3lDemon (via iDownloadBlog), the image of iDevices on the website's splash page shows "3" on each of the Calendar app icons. This Sunday happens to be Feb. 3. It's highly likely, then, that evasi0n is set to be released as early as this Sunday — even as each of the Calendar app icons appears to indicate "Wednesday." For what it's worth, evad3rs member @MuscleNerd also seemed to be teasing the possible release date for evasi0n when he tweeted the following: And you know what else? A lot of past major jailbreaks were treated to a Sunday release. So, this Sunday may very well be Funday for all of you who have been waiting for an untethered iOS 6.x jailbreak. If and when it comes out on Sunday (or any day thereafter for that matter), do stay tuned to AppAdvice for our video walk-through of the jailbreak process. So, to paraphrase @MuscleNerd, what will you be doing on Super Bowl Sunday? Source: evasi0n Via: @Pix3lDemon, iDownloadBlog
