Apple has just officially released iOS 6.1.1 only for the iPhone 4S. Users of the handset can download the update over the air by going to Settings, General, Software Update on their device, or by clicking here directly. The release notes say that the update fixes an issue that could impact cellular performance and reliability for the iPhone 4S. While the update apparently fixes bugs that hit iPhone 4S owners hard, many other iOS device owners have flooded Apple’s forums to report a wide range of issues with many different models using iOS 6.1. Its unknown when the update will be released for other devices. We’ll keep you informed with any other information we hear.
