Cut The Rope Lights Up With Lots Of Paper Lanterns In Chinese New Year Update

The Chinese New Year festivities are set to be kicked off in three days' time. And in celebration of the fiery occasion, Cut the Rope has just been updated with a brand new box full of Chinese lanterns. The new box, which is rather predictably called Lantern Box, contains 25 new levels. Altogether, these new levels introduce a new gameplay element in the form of floating paper lanterns. You can see these lanterns in puzzling action in the video below. You can find the new Lantern Box in the game's Season 3 shelf. There it joins the DJ Box, the Spooky Box, and the Steam Box, which was added just last month. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Counting the new Lantern Box, there are now 14 puzzle boxes in all in Cut the Rope. The boxes from Season 1 are: Cardboard Box, Fabric Box, Foil Box, Magic Box, and Valentine Box. And the boxes from Season 2 are: Toy Box, Gift Box, Cosmic Box, Toolbox, and Buzz Box. The newly updated Cut the Rope for iPhone and Cut the Rope HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $3.99, respectively.
