Macworld/iWorld 2013: Capture Sneaky Photos With The MirrorCase

February 4, 2013
The MirrorCase is an innovative case for your iDevices that makes it easier to capture photos. You can hold your phone or your iPad in a more comfortable, natural position, keeping the device out of your face while you take photos or make videos. AppAdvice’s Dom Esposito was on hand at Macworld/iWorld last week to give you a peek at how the MirrorCase works. Click here if you can’t watch the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHp1dqRawbc As you can see from the video, using the case is simple. Just flip down a mirror and open the accompanying MirrorCase app (which inverts and reverses the mirrored image so it looks natural) and you’re ready to shoot in either portrait or landscape mode (with the iPhone 5 version). You can hold the phone down away from your face so you can see what is in front of you while capturing a special moment. Photos and videos are saved directly to the camera roll so you can edit them with your favorite apps and then share them on social networks. The MirrorCase may be designed to make it more “comfortable” to take photos, but let’s go ahead and point out what people will really use it for - taking super sneaky snap shots. Currently, you can order the MirrorCase for the iPad or the iPhone 4/4S from the MirrorCase website. The case is currently on sale in honor of Macworld, so you can get the iPad version for $64.95, the iPhone 4/4S version for $34.95, or pre-order the iPhone 5 version for $44.95. The discount will only last until Feb. 10, so make sure to get those orders in soon. The iPhone 5 version of the MirrorCase won’t be out for a few months, but the iPhone 4/4S version is available immediately.
