MacWorld/iWorld 2013: iKey’s StreetCase Gives The iPad A Rugged, Bluetooth Keyboard

MacWorld/iWorld 2013 is in full swing today in San Francisco at the Moscone West Center. And one of the more interesting new iOS device accessories looks to be the iKey StreetCase.
While the case is huge, it adds what looks to be an unstoppable layer of protection. Along with a Bluetooth-enabled keyboard, the case is composed of strong ABS polycarbonate material designed for in-vehicle use. The entire system is sealed to NEMA 4X/IP65 specifications and is resistant to liquids, dust, and other debris while closed.
The rechargeable keyboard features red LED backlit keys and can be paired with an iPad very quickly. An integrated VESA mounting pattern also allows users to mount their tablet if needed.
Our own Dom Esposito stopped by iKey’s booth to get a closer look at the ultra-rugged case at the show. Click here if you can’t see the video.
The price has yet to set for the StreetCase, but it is expected to be released sometime in the first quarter of this year. For more information about the case, visit iKey’s site.
