Monday App Updates: Great Apps That Just Got Better For Feb. 25

Each Monday, AppAdvice presents some recently updated apps worth checking out. This week’s list features racing cars, Conan O'Brien, lovable cats, and much more.
Afterglow, Updated Feb. 22, iPhone, $0.99
First launched in November, this image editing app keeps getting better. Its latest update includes a new tool called Clarify. According to Afterglow developer Simon Filip, this new tool is “designed to really bring out the detail in your landscape photos.” The new version of the app also introduces a new “before and after” comparison feature. While editing, just tap and hold on your image to see the original unedited version. Pinch and zoom functionality is also added for shaped frames. Although Nexvio’s app hasn’t been updated since December, it still deserves a mention here. After all, it isn’t every day that an iOS app is one of the reasons a movie won an Oscar.
