Simogo's Mysterious Year Walk Game Now Available Along With Companion App

Right on schedule, the much-awaited new release from Bumpy Road and Beat Sneak Bandit developer Simogo is out now in the App Store. The game is (rather mysteriously) called Year Walk.
As Bryan nicely put it in his preview post a couple of days ago, "Year Walk is anything but a joyful walk around a park. Instead, the first-person, 2-D game is dark, contains a lot of blood, and is suspenseful." This observation seems to be consistent with Simogo's official App Store description:
Experience the ancient Swedish phenomena of year walking through a different kind of first person adventure that blurs the line between two and three dimensions as well as reality and the supernatural. Venture out into the dark woods where strange creatures roam, on a vision quest set in 19th century Sweden. In addition to the game itself, a companion app aptly titled Year Walk Companion has also been released by Simogo. Developed in collaboration with folklore and ethnology expert Theodor Almsten, Year Walk Companion is something of a mini-encyclopedia about the myths and creatures in the game. Both compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, Year Walk and Year Walk Companion are available now in the App Store for $3.99 and for free, respectively.
