A couple of weeks after launching its "Why iPhone" promotional campaign apparently in response to the release of the Samsung Galaxy S IV, Apple has now come out with a similar campaign for the iPad. On its new "Why iPad" webpage, Apple states:
iPad and iPad mini. They're two of no other kind. When iPad was introduced, there was nothing quite like it. And there still isn't. Today millions of people are using iPad and iPad mini to do just about anything you can imagine. Here are a few reasons why they're loving every minute of it.As in its "Why iPhone" webpage, the first reason cited by Apple in its "Why iPad" webpage has to do with J.D. Power and Associates. In a study by the well-known marketing information services firm, Apple ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Tablets." In addition, Apple includes other studies whose results tout the iPad's superiority over other tablets. Another reason put forward by Apple is the fact that more than 300,000 apps have made specially for iPad. The abundance of iPad-optimized apps in the App Store has also been highlighted by Apple most recently with its "Alive," "Together," and "Hollywood" TV ads. Other reasons mentioned by Apple in its new campaign include the iPad and the iPad mini's exceptional exterior, "brilliant" displays, and long battery life. Why Apple launched this campaign just now is open to question. If nothing else, it's to remind everyone that the iPad and the iPad mini are still the best tablets around … at least until the next-generation iPad and iPad mini come around.
