Apply Text Overlays On Your Photos With Photolettering's First-Rate Fonts

March 16, 2013
Looking for an app to put letters over your photos? Well, there's Over by Potluck. And there's Typic by Hi Mom. And then there's the recently released (and aptly named) Photolettering by House Industries. In case you're not familiar with the company, House Industries is a world-renowned type foundry and design studio. It should then come as no surprise that Photolettering offers some of the most beautiful fonts around. But before you put letters over them, how exactly do you put your photos into Photolettering? It's really easy. You just take a picture right within the app or load an existing one from your camera roll. You can then scale, rotate, and crop your photo using simple gestures. Using simple gestures is also the way to go for typing, rotating, and scaling your text overlay in Photolettering. You can then choose your preferred lettering style from House Industries' collection of original premium fonts in the app. Three of these fonts are available for free, while each of the other 20 fonts is unlockable for $0.99. Alternatively, the 20 locked fonts may be unlocked all at once for the half-off price of $9.99. Photolettering also offers options for customizing the colors of your text's drop and face. You can also change the background color and the text justification. Further, the app includes four simple photo filters. Once your Photolettering creation is to your satisfaction, you can save it or share it via email, iMessage, Twitter, and Facebook. You can also print it via AirPrint or send it as a printed postcard via Sincerely. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Photolettering is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
