Now You Can Play Wide Sky On An iPad's Wide Screen With This Universal Update
March 10, 2013
Now you can play the delightfully designed hedgehog-flinging game Wide Sky on a much wider sky.
When Wide Sky was released last January, it was optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But now, thanks to its latest update, the game has been optimized to be natively compatible with iPad as well. So: bigger iDevice, much wider sky.
The new update also includes iCloud syncing for devices on iOS 6. In fact, the first thing you'll see once you launch the game after updating to or downloading its new version is a prompt to enable iCloud syncing.

Wide Sky is a game that challenges you to help an adorable hedgehog in learning the ropes, so to speak. In the game, you have to guide the hedgehog as it latches onto clouds using ropes. As it does, you must also help him in crashing orbs and collecting stars.
Now natively compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Wide Sky is available in the App Store for $0.99.
According to its developer, Marcus Eckert, Wide Sky is both a game and an experiment in code, animation, design, and user interfaces. The game is, of course, what you see and enjoy. But the experiment is hidden underneath Wide Sky in the form of Meek, a native iOS engine which Eckert himself created.
