Shutterfly For iPhone Gets Pretty Fly With Brand New Filters

March 5, 2013
Shutterfly for iPhone has just received its 5.1 update, which is a follow-up to the huge 5.0 update it got in December last year. Essentially, Shutterfly for iPhone 5.0 brought a couple of significant improvements to the official iPhone app of the Shutterfly photo sharing service. One, it made uploading and backing up your iPhone photos to your Shutterfly account much easier. And two, it enabled the creation of prints and photo gifts with your iPhone, Facebook, Instagram, and Shutterfly photos. If you're not familiar with the app, Shutterfly for iPhone lets you order prints and gifts made from your photos. Prints range in size from 4" x 4" to 11" x 14", while gifts range in type from mugs to magnets and from ornaments to iPhone cases. Now, on to Shutterfly for iPhone 5.1. The new version of the app brings improved uploading with upload reminders and improved overall performance. But clearly the highlight of the update is the addition of filters. Not one, not two, but 11 filters. And these are: Normal, Dawn, Chocolate, Vibrant, Marilyn, Tempeh, Tranquil, Xfly, Crimson, Penguin, and Electrify. You can use these filters to prettify your prints and gifts. Speaking of prints, for a limited time only, you can order 10 4" x 4" square prints for free by using the promo code 10FREE within the newly updated app. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, Shutterfly for iPhone 5.1 is available now in the App Store for free. Shutterfly for iPad and Shutterfly Share Sites are also available in the App Store for free. So is the Shutterfly-developed Treat Cards, which was updated just a week ago.
