Welcome back to This Week in Accessories. Here are three great new iOS device accessories we spotted this week.
Dual Auto Charger from Incipio
Incipio has just announced a great in-car charging solution for the power-hungry iOS device user. The Dual Auto Charger can charge up to two devices at once with its built-in Lightning plug and extra pass-through USB port. Along with an LED ring to indicate charging status, the Lightning cord is 7.5 feet long and is coiled to reduce tangling. With a 2.4A charge capability in the Lightning plug, it is capable of juicing up an iPad with Retina display at full speed.
The charger is listed as “coming soon” on Incipio’s website.
It will retail for $34.99.
Boom box from bem wireless
Bem wireless has just unveiled another nice looking Bluetooth speaker. The boom box provides 2.1-channel stereo sound and has a soft-touch finish and metal casing on the front and back. With a battery that allows up to 10 hours of continuous playtime, the boom box also has a handle that makes it easier to carry.
Available in black or white, the boom box will set you back $249.99 and can be found on Amazon.com or
through bem wireless.
NUU MiniKey for the iPhone 5
While I’ve learned to love the iPhone’s virtual keyboard, some users still pine for a hardware solution. And NUU has just introduced its MiniKey that brings a wireless, slide out keyboard case to the iPhone 5.
With a backlit, 42-key keypad, a slightly raised frame protects the iPhone 5’s screen from scratches. To make typing easier, the keyboard has shortcut keys for text editing. Using Bluetooth 2.0, the MiniKey also has a built-in battery that can be recharged with a micro-USB cable.
It’s available now for $59.99 directly through NUU’s site.
