The App Store takes delivery of hundreds of new apps per day. The overwhelming scene makes it possible to easily overlook an exciting game, valuable productivity suite, etc. However, we have a solution. Today’s Best Apps tackles this problem by providing you with a handpicked and tested list of apps that are truly worth your consideration each and everyday.

Universal:

Goatup 2 by Llamasoft ($3.99, 6.4 MB): The wild and whacky grass munching goat is back and ready to take you on a drastically more mind blowing adventure. Unlike the original, which is an endless climber, this is a true old school platformer. Facing various hazards in four different themed stages, you'll run, jump, eat, fart, and smash your way to victory, which involves gathering all kinds of whacky items and reaching the exit as quickly as possible. The game features very vibrant and flashy 8-bit graphics, lots of trippy animations and sounds, 80 total levels, and Game Center leaderboards.

Cabrais by Paul Choy (Free, 68.3 MB): This easy to learn and tough to master turn-based strategy board game is a great way to have mind challenging fun by yourself or with a friend. The basic idea is to move your stones throughout the line-based grid until you surround at least one of your opponent's pieces or vice versa. Solo matches are against a single skill level AI and human multiplayer can be played locally in pass and play fashion or online versus a friend or stranger via Game Center.

TurboFly HD by Marc Fortin ($0.99, 32.9 MB): By integrating characteristics from F-Zero and Mario Kart, this retro-style racing game provides a fair amount of nostalgia and difficulty. To succeed in each event, you'll need to elegantly navigate the winding track and properly utilize bonus tools. These bonus items, speed boost and a randomly assigned weapon, are acquired by flying over the designated zones scattered throughout the course. The game features 23 tracks, five fighter-jet looking hovercrafts, four weapons, retro 3-D graphics, techno soundtrack, Game Center integration, and three play modes: Career, Quick Race, and online Multiplayer
