The App Store takes delivery of hundreds of new apps per day. The overwhelming scene makes it possible to easily overlook an exciting game, valuable productivity suite, etc. However, we have a solution. Today’s Best Apps tackles this problem by providing you with a handpicked and tested list of apps that are truly worth your consideration each and everyday.

Marbelous! by Kai Wegner ($0.99, 51.9 MB): In this quirky platform-puzzler, you're a magical marble on a mission to get back topside after accidentally tumbling down the drain. Your color changing power comes in quite handy for moving blocks and unlocking doors. However, being a marble makes the process of jumping and balancing quite a challenge. The game features whimsical characters, a calm and dramatic soundtrack, 3-D graphics, more than 30 levels spanning five retro game themed stages, dual-thumb control, and Game Center integration. A trial version is also available with access to the first stage.

Unmechanical by Teotl Studios ($2.99, 182.4 MB): Peculiar and riveting, this side-scrolling puzzler immerses you in an adventure of survival as a little helicopter is abducted and sent to a prison-like underground labyrinth. Fly around the gloomy caverns and tunnels in search of possible exits. Unfortunately, it's not just about finding the correct path. Many passageways will be blocked and require difficult problem solving to find a way through. The game features more than 30 puzzling tasks within the free-roaming interactive realm, 2-D and 3-D graphics powered by the Unreal Engine, single finger control, no violence, and Game Center integration.

Plasma-Sky by John Dunbar ($1.99, 5.0 MB): Get your fill of endless action with this retro arcade-style space shooter. The fast-paced excitement involves continuous waves of increasingly difficult enemies and asteroids. During Conquest mode, the circumstances are a little forgiving with the implementation of ship health and the opportunity to continue. However, Hardcore mode is a truly infinite onslaught in which there are no second chances. The game also features a leaderboard and achievement for each play mode.
