Twitter Client Echofon Gets A Nice Update

While I’m enjoying the new media timeline feature in Tweetbot, another great Twitter client has also just been updated.
Version 6.1 of Echofon for Twitter is packed with a number of improvements. Along with restoring retweet blocking settings from twitter.com, the new version extends the width of tweet text.
Improvements are focused on the auto-refresh experience for lists, the refreshing experience for trending topics, and the iPad version’s popup experience.
Finally, the update fixes issues where timelines would move downward when refreshing, where a retweet wouldn’t undo, and with blank maps.
Echofon for Twitter is a universal app for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. Echofon Pro for Twitter, which features no ads, can be unlocked with a $4.99 in-app purchase or as a separate download.
If you’re looking for a free alternative to the official Twitter client, I think Echofon is a great way to go. Along with being able to customize the app with 10 different color themes, it also does a great job of managing multiple accounts and offering quick push notifications.
