After previously working with big name developers like GREE and Capcom, Tokyo-based Wizcorp has just announced its first self-published game for iOS devices. Celulo will hit the App Store in two weeks on Thursday, May 9.
And if you’re a fan of puzzle games, Celulo should be right up your alley. In the free game, designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, players are tasked with linking the Celulo in order to create a circuit connecting the sides of the board. More points are awarded depending how long and complex the circuit is.
Here’s a gameplay trailer from Celulo. Click here if you can’t see the video.
Along with unique characters throughout the game, Celulo definitely looks to have a nice looking visual style and soundtrack. Powerups look to be a big part of gameplay a well. Some of the more interesting named boosts include the Combo Molecule, Freezing DNA, Celulo Squad, DNA Rewind and Unleash Celulo.
Facebook connectivity will also allow players to take on their friends in weekly tournaments.
While I’m usually not a big fan of puzzlers, Celulo actually looks pretty interesting, and I’m excited to give it a try when it his the App Store.
