Don't Have A Clue As To What Alarm Clock And Weather Apps To Get? Consider Cleu
April 28, 2013
A few days ago, I told you about the most recent update to Horizon Calendar, an app that is both a calendar app and a weather app. Today, I'll clue you in about the latest update to Cleu Alarm, an app that is both an alarm clock app and a weather app.
As an alarm clock app, Cleu lets you set an alarm and requires you to perform a connect-the-dots gesture to stop the alarm when it goes off.
As a weather app, Cleu shows you the temperature and the forecast on top of a beautiful weather background à la the recently released Yahoo! Weather app.
And through its latest update, Cleu has gained support for displaying weather backgrounds even during nighttime. Specifically, the app now displays backgrounds after sunset and before sunrise.
Should you want to temporarily remove the background for any reason, Cleu now also lets you do just that with its new stealth mode. You can activate stealth mode by holding down on the temperature icon, thereby blacking out the background. Then just release your hold to display the current weather again.
The new Cleu update also brings Dutch language support and gradual dimming. Regarding the latter improvement, Clue now dims the screen gradually after 15 seconds of inactivity. Just tap the screen to light it back to life.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later, the new version of Cleu Alarm is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download.
