FX Photo Studio Update Brings A Slate Of New Features And Improvements

April 18, 2013
One of my favorite photo editing apps for the iPhone, FX Photo Studio, has just been updated for the first time this year with a slate of new features and other improvements. Version 5.1 of the app now supports the maximum resolution of the iPhone 5 and has improved Facebook integration and Instagram sharing. And as a nice touch, when you save a photo to the library, it will also be saved to your personal FX Photo Studio folder. Along with new designs of text labels, the updated app has a reworked algorithm of placing layers and new artistic effects on an image. With the usual amount of minor interface tweaks, the new version also fixes a bug that caused slower performance on some iPod touch models. FX Photo Studio is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. There are a number of effects packs that can be downloaded with an in-app purchase, including the new master’s filter collection. A separate app for the iPad/iPad mini, FX Photo Studio HD, wasn’t updated today and can be downloaded for $1.99.
