Google Updates Chrome for iOS, Adds Full Screen Browsing For iPhone, AirPrint Support

April 9, 2013
Google’s Chrome Team has just announced the release of version 26.0.1410.50 of Chrome for iOS. The new features include full screen browsing for the iPhone and iPod touch, as well as Web page printing capabilities from within the app and PDF conversions for Google Drive. Full screen browsing allows users to virtually hide the toolbar off the screen by scrolling. As you drag your finger upward, the toolbar disappears. Once hidden, you can see more of a Web page on the screen. It may not be much, but every centimeter counts on a 4-inch screen.

To access the address bar again, scroll back to the top of the page and it will be waiting for you. The new update also includes Web page printing with Google Cloud Print or AirPrint. You can also save any page as a PDF to Google Drive with just one tap. Google’s Chrome for iOS update summary includes the following:
Fullscreen for iPhone and iPod touch • Scroll the toolbar off the screen to enjoy the full page of content. • Quickly re-access the omnibox by scrolling back down. Printing • Print web pages with Google Cloud Print or AirPrint.
• Save any page as a PDF to Google Drive
Chrome is free to download and available in the App Store today.
