Today's Best Apps: Complete And Mr Smoosh
Complete - Reminders, Tasks and Grocery by DANIELA PETROVA ($0.99, 6.1 MB): From grocery lists to lunch meetings, this task-management app helps you stay organized and reminded of all those to-dos going on in life. At the forefront is a separation system with access to all items via folder-style lists and the Reminders section, which provides a quick look at what's due today, pending, and completed. Going deeper, some of the other handy options include geofenced reminders that offer alerts when either leaving or arriving at a location, sub-tasking, and color-coded priority levels. Even though most of the user interface involves single taps, a mid left to right swipe can also be used to checkmark items whereas a long rightward swipe is used to delete entries.
Universal:Mr Smoosh by Blackbilly Studios Pty Ltd (Free, 34.9 MB): In this quirky physics-based endless arcade game, you control the athletic Mr. Smoosh as he bounces for survival. Unfortunately, Mr. Smoosh isn't the only squishy thing in this adventure. Strangely, so is the island. Like a partially filled air mattress, the flexible mass is pushed underwater with every springy jump, eventually placing Mr. Smoosh in danger of being eaten by the vicious fish. Thankfully, Mr. Smoosh is aerobatic, being able to bounce off bubbles, which allows the island time to regain buoyancy. Your objective will be helping Mr. Smoosh bound from bubble to bubble, as many as possible, while avoiding the evil gloopers. The game features colorful 3-D graphics, goal-based challenges, tilt control, a Game Center leaderboard, and does contain an ad banner.
