Bottoms Up: Easily Track Your Daily Water Intake With The New Ounces App
May 13, 2013
Drinking enough water every day is of the utmost importance in maintaining good health. And if you ever wanted to easily monitor your daily water intake using your iDevice, now you can with the newly released Ounces app.
Here's the sole block of text in Ounces' App Store description:
Simple daily water intake tracker. Ounces lets you keep track of how much water you have consumed in a given day. Use Ounces to set a daily intake goal of how much water you would like to attempt to consume daily. Ounces will notify you if you're falling behind on your daily intake goal.Indeed, Ounces is a really simple app. The app just asks you to set your daily water intake goal and choose whether you want to get notified when you're falling behind on your goal. Then it's up to you to tap the plus button to record your occasional intake toward your goal, whereupon the app shows an animation of water gradually filling up the screen. Note, though, that Ounces currently doesn't let you set your custom goals and increments. At the moment, you can set any of the following goals in ounces: 16, 32, 48, 64, and 80. And you can increment your intake by 8 ounces only. And in keeping with its name, Ounces only lets you deal with ounces. Perhaps, despite its name, Ounces will gain support for other units in an upcoming update. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later, Ounces is available now in the App Store for free. Ounces is created by ZoidStudio, the same developer behind Simple Fuel and Box Monsters. Simple Fuel is a simple app for looking up nearby gas stations and their fuel prices, while Box Monsters is a simple physics-based puzzle game. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
