Cydia Tweak: Quickly Search The Web With Google Search For Velox

May 9, 2013
Velox is very powerful and impressive Cydia tweak. Along with its release, the developers have also made an API available which allows others to create third party add-ons to use with different apps. Google Search for Velox is a new add-on that puts the search engine right on your home screen. This will allow you to search the Web for anything with a quick swipe over the Google Search app icon. If you use Google Search a lot, this is definitely a great addition to an already amazing Cydia tweak. Once you’ve installed this tweak, you can launch the enhanced folder for Google Search by using the activator method that you've specified in Velox’s settings. Next, tap on the text field within the enhanced app folder and the keyboard will pop up. Now, type in a search term and tap on the “Search” button located on the keyboard and Safari will launch and load the results. It’s important to note that you must have the Google Search app on your device before installing this tweak. If you attempt to install it without the app present, it may freeze your device and push it into a boot loop. If this happens, reboot your device while holding the volume up button, install the Google Search app, then reboot normally.
