Disney's New Story App Helps You Share Moments And Tell Stories In Photos And Videos
May 9, 2013
"Disney has been telling the stories that you love for generations. Now, we can help you tell yours." That's Disney's irresistible pitch for its newly released iOS app, simply called Story.
Story makes it easy for you to tell stories in photos and videos.
In fact, Story's main feature is "effortless storytelling." This feature lets the app automatically go through your camera roll and find the photos and videos that were taken at the same time and place. These photos and videos are then grouped into "moments" so that you can readily tell stories using them.
You can share a story as is or you can personalize it with captions, text-only pages, themes, and layouts.
You can share stories via email or Facebook. You can also invite your family and friends to view your stories on the app's companion website. In addition, you can embed your stories on your blog or other websites.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later, Story is available now in the App Store for free.
Note that you need to have a Disney account in order to use the app. If you don't have an account, you can sign up right from the app. Note, too, that all stories you create are saved in the app and backed up via iCloud for future viewing and editing.
So, Disney wants to know: what's your story?
