Last-minute hotel reservation app Hotel Tonight has just been updated with a slew of new improvements.
Probably the most impressive addition in version 4.3 is the “Snap Your Stay” feature that lets iPhone users contribute their own photos to the app. Users take a set of six photos around the hotel, scavenger-hunt style.
And to celebrate the new service, Hotel Tonight is giving out $5 in credit to everyone who completes a set of photos during a hotel stay booked through the app. If a photo appears in the popular feed of the Photos tab, you’ll get a bonus $5 credit.
In the updated version, photos of the property from other users will also appear on the hotel profile page.
The new booking receipt cards highlight all of the hotel information you’ll need in one place.
Hotel Tonight is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded in the App Store now for free.
If you haven’t heard of the service, it can definitely come in handy when you need a place to stay on short notice. Each day, at noon local time, the app offers travelers great values at more than 90 destinations across the globe. Rooms can be booked until 2 a.m. local time the next day.
All locations offered by the app have been vetted by Hotel Tonight staff and are assigned a category, like basic, hip, or luxe.
