Do you like the sound of falling rain? Do you like listening to it while working, playing, or getting to sleep? If your answer to both questions is a resounding yes, then you're bound to like the newly released Rainingfm app.
Rainingfm is the official iOS app of Raining.fm, the popular website that decidedly does nothing but play relaxing rain audio with optional rolling or heavy thunder.
Unsurprisingly, Rainingfm also does little beyond playing relaxing rain audio with optional rolling or heavy thunder. But more than being a lite version of its original Web counterpart, Rainingfm offers key features that are also found on Raining.fm. In fact, it even reflects the website's delightful and colorful interface.
Rainingfm lets you create a mix of rain and thunder sounds with independent volume controls for rain, rolling thunder, and heavy thunder. The app also comes with a slider that controls the master volume.
Like Raining.fm, Rainingfm also includes a break timer and a sleep timer. The former alerts you when it's time to take a break from work or play, while the latter prompts the rain and thunder sounds to gradually fade out as you fall asleep.
In addition, Rainingfm features a slideshow of "rainy" photos, as seen on Raining.fm.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Rainingfm is available now in the App Store.
At $1.99, it may already be a tad expensive for most users. But if you really like listening to the rhythm of falling rain and you really want to do so wherever you go, then Rainingfm is definitely a worthy download.
