The Upcoming Monster Adventures! Promises To Bring A Fun And Exciting Story

May 3, 2013
Indie developer Foursaken Media has just offered a preview of its next iOS game, Monster Adventures! In the new title, players take the role of one of the rare humans with a special bond to a spirit in nature. The spirits can change into the essence of almost any monster and can take on limitless forms. Gamers will mix and match essences to create numerous monsters to play. Essences can also be enhanced with one of five elements that grant strength and vulnerabilities to other elemental enemies encountered on the journey. During the game, players will encounter randomly generated environments while growing their spirits with new skills and abilities. Eventually, once the team is strong enough, it will compete in the Coliseum. When exploring the adventure environment, the enemies get tougher, but the gold and experience gained increases. Taking a cue from some rogue-like gameplay elements, a player won’t get anything if they die in the field. But fortunately, death isn’t permanent. And unlike other monster games, Monster Adventures! will also be highlighted by its deep adventure and combat system right along with the monster collection and creation portion. Even though the default controls will be dual sticks, there will be other options like a one-handed tap to move, tap to target along with an auto aim function Foursaken Media says that development is currently around 75 percent complete, and that they are shooting for a summer release. We’ll keep you informed when we see any more information, or hopefully a trailer. I’ve enjoyed playing other games from the developer, including Sky Gnomes and the N.Y.Zombies series. Monster Adventures! definitely looks like a change of pace, and it should be fun. [gallery link="file"]
