Audible Audiobooks App Gains Chapter Navigation, BMW Integration And More
June 19, 2013
Audiobooks from Audible, the official iOS app of Audible.com, has just been updated with a couple of interface improvements and a couple of enhancements for BMW vehicles.
For its interface improvements, the app now has buttons for chapter navigation and a new section for news notifications. Now you can tap on the play bar to activate the chapter forward and chapter back buttons, and you can refer to the news section for any new items in your feed.
As for its enhancements for BMW vehicles, the Audible app now has BMW integration and MINI integration. The former allows drivers of BMWs that support BMW Apps to access the app directly from their vehicles. Similarly, the latter enables drivers of MINIs that support MINI Connected to access the app directly from their mini cars.
Also including improvements related to sleep timer, accessibility, iTunes audio playback, Whispersync, and audio content downloading, the new version of Audiobooks from Audible is available now in the App Store for free.
Audiobooks from Audible was launched on iOS way back in July 2010 as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. It wasn't optimized for iPad until it went universal last February.
A few days ago, one of Audible's rival apps, Audiobooks by Simply Audibooks, was updated with a new interface and new gestures.
