Cydia Tweak: HomeDisplay Adds A Second Status Bar To The Home Screen

Every once in a while a Cydia tweak comes along that has a lot of potential, but in my opinion, isn’t ready for prime time. HomeDisplay is a new Cydia tweak that will add a second status bar to your home screen, but you may want to think twice before purchasing it.
This tweak will display the date, location based temperature, and any artist/song that’s currently playing on a second status bar located right beneath the main status bar in iOS. It's important to note that HomeDisplay will only appear on the home screen so it won't interfere with the layout of any apps. While this tweak may not be useful for myself, some people may find this information helpful.
Unfortunately, there are no options to configure within the Settings app. Once installed, you’ll only have the ability to enable or disable HomeDisplay. If the developer added options to customize HomeDisplay’s appearance, or even add/remove different elements, it might make this tweak a little better. I’d even prefer this tweak if it was integrated into the standard iOS status bar and you could switch to HomeDisplay’s information with a single or double tap.
At the moment, I can’t recommend purchasing this tweak. It’s very possible that HomeDisplay will get additional features in an update, but there’s not much to it right now. If this is exactly what you were looking for in a Cydia tweak, you may want to consider the price. Currently, HomeDisplay is available for $2.00 in the BigBoss repository and is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.
