Dropbox For iOS Updated With Sharing Enhancements Plus New Swipe-Based Menu
June 26, 2013
Dropbox has just dropped a significant new update to its official app on iOS.
The latest update to the popular cloud storage app introduces a new swipe-based menu along with several enhancements focused on sharing. Oh, and it also includes bug fixes and, according to the Dropbox team, "other magical performance improvements to keep you happy."
With the new version of Dropbox for iOS, you can now swipe on any file to access options for sharing, favoriting, moving, and deleting that file.
The newly updated app now also lets you easily share a link to a folder. You can do so via email, text message, Facebook message, Facebook post, Twitter, or clipboard.
In addition, the app now allows you to select multiple photos for sharing with others through the aforementioned methods.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Dropbox is available in the App Store for free.
In December last year, Dropbox was updated to version 2.0 with a major redesign and photo timeline support. Then, in mid-February of this year, the app got a revamped PDF viewer and push notification support. Also, a couple of months ago, it was updated with support for six additional languages.
