A couple of months ago, 2K Games released Haunted Hollow in the App Store. Today, Chillingo has released a different kind of Hollow: Gloomy Hollow. As well, Gloomy Hollow is a different kind of game. Whereas Haunted Hollow is a strategy game that has you spawning monsters to invade hamlets, Gloomy Hollow is an action RPG that has you leading a trio of misfits to save their underworld valley. In Gloomy Hollow, you play as the gunslingin’ sheriff Moustache Jim, hammer-swinging Smithy, or razor-sharp fan-wielding Rosie. Your main goal is to battle hellish beasts and retrieve the stolen Soul Crystals in order to restore the titular troubled town to its former state as a lively limbo.
