Photos Leak That Purportedly Show Parts For Apple's Next iPhone
June 7, 2013
Photos apparently showing parts for the so-called "iPhone 5S" have leaked. The parts, which show a front camera, home button, and vibration motor, were first published by Letem Svetem Applem.
There is no way to verify the authenticity of these photos, of course. In fact, two clues suggest that they aren’t, in fact, showing parts for Apple’s next handset.
For one, the home button shown doesn’t look anything like the one presented in a March report. Additionally, the country-specific serial numbers suggest that the Czech Republic will receive the iPhone 5S during the first wave of product release. This has never happened during previous iPhone launches.
It should be noted, however, that the photo purportedly showing the vibration motor does match the report mentioned above. Both photos, of course, could still be bogus.
We’ll certainly see more leaks in the coming months. The iPhone 5S is expected to be released in September or October, according to the latest rumors.
