Socialize With New Like-Minded People In Your City With Citysocializer
June 3, 2013
The subcription-based social networking website CitySocialising has finally released its official iOS app, over six years after its launch.
Nope, the app is not also called CitySocialising. Rather, it's called Citysocializer.
As noted by The Next Web, the transition from "s" to "z" is a sign of Citysocialising's "going global."
The former letter is, of course, an indicator of British variant spelling where the latter letter is used in U.S. English. You see, Citysocialising is based in the U.K., in which it now caters to hundreds of thousands of users.
But it's now set to make its mark across the globe, and the release of the new Citysocializer app is a step in that direction.
With Citysocializer, you can do the following in your city:
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, Citysocializer is available now in the App Store for free. Note, though, that while it's free to download, the app is subscription-based, just like its parent website. Non-subscribers can use the app to browse events or socials, find people, post updates, view profiles, "wave" at others, make friend connections, and receive invites to go out. On the other hand, subscribers can do all of those and plenty more, including joining an unlimited number of socials organized by others and creating their own socials. A subscription is available via in-app purchase for the rather hefty rate of $8.99 per week. But this entitles you to full access to both the Citysocializer app and website.
