Today's Best Apps: Hoppetee And Hero Of Many

The App Store takes delivery of hundreds of new apps per day. The overwhelming scene makes it possible to easily overlook an exciting game, valuable productivity suite, etc. However, we have a solution. Today’s Best Apps tackles this problem by providing you with a handpicked and tested list of apps that are truly worth your consideration each and everyday. Remember: Even though in-app purchases typically require your iTunes Store password for processing, you can further prevent them and other unauthorized actions by enabling local restrictions using the passcode locked iOS parental controls.

Hoppetee! by Birgit Stock ($0.99, 39.5 MB): This physics-based endless platformer may have several similarities to Tiny Wings, but there's still plenty of its own charm and difficulty to woo you. After Hoppetee comes across a ball that makes him jump as high and move even faster than the other grasshoppers, there's little stopping the violin playing character from enjoying the world. As Hoppetee rolls up and down hills, streams across ponds, and leaps over plants and bounces off mushrooms, you must guide him to collect as many notes and fireflies as possible. Used to brighten the way during the night, Hoppetee can have up to three glowing friends at once. Unfortunately, the fireflies aren't able to last forever and must be replaced. Last the night and you'll gain the entire day to more easily replenish the whole luminescent crew. For assistance, notes may be traded to activate power-ups. In addition, do your best to achieve all of the goal-style objectives. The game features colorful side-scrolling 3-D graphics, pleasant soundtrack, single finger control, the aforementioned power-ups and bonus objectives, plus a Game Center leaderboard.

Hero of Many by Matous Jezek ($1.99, 194.6 MB): This physics-based side-scrolling puzzler has an exciting mixture of peculiarity, difficulty, beauty, and diversity. More to the point, it’s a challenging adventure that whisks you to a mysterious and beautiful underwater world to control an unidentified spherical being who must locate and guide luminescent tadpole-like creatures past boulders, dark and vicious enemies of various sizes, and more to reach a safe location as quickly as possible. If that weren’t enough to worry about, you must help the entity grow larger, increasingly visible, and powerful to attract additional creatures, push larger objects, and otherwise overcome more burdensome hazards. The game features wonderful silhouetted visuals, atmospheric soundtrack, 26 level story spanning four worlds, checkpoints, and single finger control.
