Be An Indomitable Gaul And Send Your Roman Far, Far Away In Asterix: Megaslap
July 21, 2013
Even now, decades after its initial publication, the French comic series "Asterix" remains popular. Otherwise, why would Bulkypix release a game based on it, right?
Indeed, "Asterix" continues to be visible not only in its original medium, but also in other media formats, including video games. And the popular mobile game developer and publisher Bulkypix is set to launch the latest addition to the series of games inspired by "Asterix."
The new game is called Asterix: Megaslap, and it's scheduled for release next week.
True to its source material, Asterix: Megaslap features the indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation with the help of their magic potion:
Send your Roman as far away as possible, outside the Gaul village, even outside the borders of Gaul, going via Rome or even Egypt. If the potion isn’t enough to do the trick, you have a whole paraphernalia available to customize your Roman: cloak, helmet, bouncing cushion, lightning, and you can even throw a menhir at him. So, take a good run-up and give that Roman a hard punch, as he’s asking for it and that’s what he’s there for!If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Asterix: Megaslap lets you unlock a variety of objects to help you send your Roman farther and beat your friends' records in the process. The game includes settings taken from the comic series, such as Rome, Lutetia, Egypt, and Helvetia. It also offers collectible cards for more than 30 characters from the series. Asterix: Megaslap is set to be released in the App Store on Thursday, July 25. Priced at $0.99, it's going to be available as a universal download for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
