Music sharing and discovery app Soundtracking has just received another nice update.
First up, version 3.3 is highlighted by a new song request and dedication feature. Users can ask friends who are using the app what they are listening to or send a song directly to them as a dedication.
Hashtags are also supported with the new version. Users can add hashtags to both posts and comments.
Another major improvement in the update is automatic and faster music recognition. The app will listen and recognize songs automatically when it is opened so that MusicIDs are much faster.
And more users should be able to take advantage of Soundtracking now that the app has been translated and localized into Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean.
Finally, the app now boasts design enhancements to the navigation bar along with the main music activity feed screens.
Soundtracking is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch but is compatible with the iPad. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
Hitting the App Store more than two years ago, Soundtracking focuses on sharing the “soundtrack of your life.” Apple’s own Phil Schiller is even a fan of the app.
After adding Instagram integration earlier this year, a June update brought a Song of the Day Feature.
