The USA Today For iPad App Now Includes A Redesigned Weather Module And More

July 5, 2013
USA Today has announced a new update for its iPad app. Version 3.2 includes a number of new features that make it easier for readers to find content to enjoy. The USA Today for iPad app now includes redesigned section fronts that include a revamped “list” view. From here, users are able to see which stories are the most important of the day due to their placement and size. The app also includes better breaking news functionality. When news breaks, a user is now able to tap on the push alert, or the red breaking news banner to be taken to the article. Other new features include:
  • Redesigned weather module: An extended three-day forecast for the city you choose is right on the main News page. Tap that module and open up a deeper look at the forecast for your area.
  • All-section refresh: Tap and hold the refresh icon in the upper right-hand corner and refresh all sections at once.
