Getting ahead of the game, developer AgileBits has just released an updated version of its popular 1Password app for iOS.
Most notably, version 4.2.2 contains many enhancements for users running the beta version of iOS 7. The specific improvements were not mentioned.
The update also contains improved VoiceOver support for searching in the app. And finally, along with a number of other minor improvements and fixes, the new version also resolved a crash when scrolling 1Browser tabs.
A universal app designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, 1Password can be downloaded now in the App Store for $17.99. A Mac-compatible version of 1Password is available in the Mac App Store for $49.99.
The last major update of the iOS app before today came in late May with version 4.2. That version added a number of improvements to the 1Browser, 1Browser settings, sharing, and search.
Even though Apple introduced a similar new password management feature for iOS 7 and Mac OS X 10.9, iCloud Keychain, AgileBits isn’t waving the white flag.
In an interview with our own Bryan M. Wolfe earlier this month, David Chartier said he welcomed Apple’s entry into the security market. He also said that changes will soon be coming to 1Password.
