Apple Is Now Offering Six Free Songs Ahead Of The First Night Of The iTunes Festival

Apple is gearing up for this year’s iTunes Festival in London by giving away six songs from artists that will attend the month long event. The freebies are available via the Apple Store app for the iPhone/iPod touch. The songs are:
  • “Trying To Be Cool,” by Phoenix
  • “Workin’ Woman Blues,” by Valerie June
  • “2013,” by Primal Scream
  • “My Love Took Me Down To The River To Silence Me,” by Little Green Cars
  • “Chain My Name,” by Polica
  • “The Curse,” by Agnes Bel
The free download offer is good until Oct. 31, 2013. This year’s festival begins on Sunday, Sept. 1 and runs through Monday, Sept. 30. Here's the official trailer for the 30-day event:

First held in 2007, the iTunes Festival offers free live performances from some of the world's most popular artists. Since 2009, the month-long celebration has been held at London's historic Roundhouse Theater. Each performance is available through streaming via Apple TV or the free iTunes Festival app. You can also watch performances through iTunes on a Mac or PC. This year's performers include Katy Perry, Paramore, Vampire Weekend, and more.
